The Programme


This programme will provide new skills, build on existing skills to help you:

Define your role as a 'Pasifika' leader and understand the difference you can make

Articulate your vision for yourself, your workplace and your community

Build effective working relationships with diverse individuals and groups

Take a creative, balanced, objective problem-solving approach to difficult situations

Motivate, delegate and coach to drive improved performance

Influence others to gain support for ideas and solutions

Programme Flow


The programme runs over a 10 month period dealing with 10 practical and relevant topics. The overall objective of the programme is to provide Pasifika people leaders with the skills and knowledge to engage others and deliver on business results. The time between each kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face) workshop will allow you to implement some of the key learnings in your workplace with the support of your line manager. You’ll also need to meet with fellow participants between the workshops to talanoa (talk) and reflect on your learning and coach each other on implementing new skills and tools.  The cost for the 10-month programme is $5,500 +GST per person.For an application form or more information please email: info@capabilitygroup.co.nz

Module Structure


Each module has three distinct phases which encourages application of learning and involvement of your manager to support new learning

Prepare

Developing required knowledge and completing activities for explore session. (2 weeks)

Explore

Extending knowledge, experimenting, experiencing and evaluating options. (8 hours)

Apply

Applying tools, techniques, and approaches on the job, Peer coaching in learning syndicates. (3-4 weeks)
